Kasey Hani Lui
Kasey Choir Manager
Kasey has been a member of the Alto section of the Auckland Youth Choir since 2022 and was appointed Choir Manager in 2025. In this role, she oversees a wide range of responsibilities including secretarial duties, financial administration, fundraising, concert management, and publicity—managing everything from the choir’s website to its social media presence. She also serves on the choir's governance committee.
Since 2022, Kasey has worked as the Music Administrator at Westlake Girls High School, her alma mater, where she previously sang in both Cantare and Choralation choirs. She is responsible for the administration of the school’s extensive and award-winning music programme, which fosters the music development of hundreds of young musicians. She has also led the coordination of the annual Treble Voices Festivals for the past three years, fostering choral collaboration and youth engagement across Tāmaki Makaurau.
As a performer, Kasey was cast in the NZ–Samoan film Tinā (2024), a powerful and heart warming exploration of grief and choral music through a Samoan lens. The film has been featured at local screenings nationally and has been celebrated at film festivals internationally.
